Billy Corgan, front man for the Smashing Pumpkins, recently said that he thinks the angst and pain of rock and roll is all played out. Corgan contributed quite a bit to that angst and pain back in the nineties, but now he thinks that it’s time for rock and roll to head in a different direction. He wants to see musicians begin to explore the concept of God. God is edgy.
Corgan also gives a little advice to Christian rockers: “Make better music.”
